Viva Las Vegas<\/h1>\n

Na een afwezigheid van 3 jaar konden we in april eindelijk weer onze Amerikaanse collega\u2019s ondersteunen op de ISS Storage show in Las Vegas. De show van 2020 werd geannuleerd. De show van 2021 was door alle Covid-maatregelen een zuiver binnenlandse aangelegenheid. Het werd een geweldige ervaring.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fysiek aanwezig<\/b>
<\/b>Het was natuurlijk fantastisch om het hele team weer \u2018live\u2019 te zien. Drie jaar is een lange tijd. Nu is het wel zo dat de Amerikaanse collega\u2019s elkaar al weer eerder hadden getroffen, maar dit gebeurde niet heel vaak. De afstanden in de V.S. zijn dusdanig groot dat het niet veel uitmaakt of wij vanaf USC Nederland naar het hoofdkantoor in Connecticut vliegen, of dat de collega\u2019s uit Colorado dit doen. Fysiek is het natuurlijk beter bijpraten dan via dat eeuwige Microsoft Teams. Alle doelen zijn gezamenlijk weer op scherp gezet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

VS loopt voorop<\/b>
<\/b>De ISS werd druk bezocht en wat vooral opvalt, is de volwassenheid van de markt. De V.S. loopt decennia voor op Europa. Er zijn zelfs al eindgebruikers die hun hele levenscyclus als self storage klant hebben voltooid. Als 30-er of 40-er hebben ze in de jaren \u201980 van de vorige eeuw een ruimte gehuurd. Nu zijn ze helaas wegens ouderdom overleden. Vergeleken met deze markt, heeft Europa nog een achterstand van tientallen jaren. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>Factor 10<\/b>
<\/span>Het blijft fascinerend om te zien dat alle storage-gerelateerde zaken in de V.S. factor 10 zijn. Dit geldt voor de locaties, maar ook het aantal aanvragen op shows, het aantal bezoekers en de aantallen te plaatsen containers. Voor ons fantastisch om te ervaren. De meerderheid van de bezoekers is, mede om die reden, Amerikaans. Wij waren echter zeer verheugd om relaties uit Nederland en Belgi\u00eb te mogen ontvangen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Customer Dinner<\/b>
<\/b>Zoals gebruikelijk bij USC werd er een Customer Appreciation Dinner georganiseerd. Dat betekent met tientallen klanten een fantastische maaltijd eten bij Joe\u2019s Stone Crab. Dit restaurant kent zijn oorsprong reeds 100 jaar geleden in Miami Beach. Het is onder visliefhebbers beroemd vanwege de krabpoten, de bijbehorende saus, maar ook door de seabass. Mocht u ooit toevallig in Miami of Las Vegas zijn, vergeet ze dan niet met een bezoekje te vereren.<\/span><\/p>\n

Las Vegas<\/b>
<\/b>Las Vegas is altijd een belevenis. Geen stad ter wereld die zo bruist, maar ook geen stad ter wereld waar zoveel kwaliteit op het gebied van entertainment, dining, muziek, maar ook natuur te vinden is. Een ronduit fantastische plek voor een trade show. Volgend jaar ook die kant op? Laat het ons weten en eet lekker mee!<\/span><\/p>\n

After a 3-year absence, we were finally able to support our American colleagues again in April at the ISS Storage show in Las Vegas. The 2020 show was cancelled. The 2021 show was, by all Covid measures, a purely domestic affair.
