E\u00e9n van de leuke dingen van ons vak is dat we nog wel eens op pad zijn. Zo waren collega Leo Young en ik van 29 tot 31 maart aanwezig als vertegenwoordigers van USC op de AESS-conferentie in Madrid, Spanje. De AESS is de Spaanse brancheorganisatie van self storage exploitanten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De Spaanse self storage markt is inmiddels behoorlijk volwassen geworden. Na Engeland en Frankrijk biedt Spanje volgens de statistieken van de overkoepelende Europese brancheorganisatie FEDESSA (bron:<\/span> Fedessa Annual survey 2021<\/span><\/a>) het meest aantal m2 aan opslagruimte. De activiteiten van de AESS-brancheorganisatie hebben hier zeker positief aan bijgedragen. Alleen de gekozen showlocatie, het Wanda Metropolitana, het nieuwe voetbalstadion van Atl\u00e9tico Madrid, was al de moeite van het bezoeken waard.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beursstand
<\/b>Voor de bezoekers waren er zoals altijd interessante sprekers en workshops. Gelukkig hadden de meeste beursgangers ook nog tijd om onze beursstand te bezoeken en naar onze presentatie te luisteren. Het voelde na twee lange coronajaren goed om iedereen weer \u2018live\u2019 te kunnen zien en spreken. Na de show kregen we nog een rondleiding door het prachtige stadion van die \u2018andere\u2019 voetbalclub van Madrid. Kortom, het was een geslaagde trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the nice things about our profession is that we are still on the road sometimes. For example, from March 29 to 31, colleague Leo Young and I attended the AESS conference in Madrid, Spain, as USC representatives.
