Het eerste opslagpark voor Storage Zeeland<\/h1>\n

Onlangs plaatsten we onze Z-Boxen op het terrein van Storage Zeeland<\/a>, het opslagbedrijf in Zierikzee van Martin van Rijn en Jascha de Jong. Naast de bestaande opslagloods kunnen zij nu ook buitenopslag gaan aanbieden, een lang gekoesterde wens. We vroegen Jascha naar haar ervaringen met USC, het leveringsproces en de eerste klantreacties.<\/p>\n

Wat hebben jullie voor bedrijf en sinds wanneer?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018Vanaf 1999 zijn we met Storage Zeeland actief, we hadden toen grond gekocht om een loods neer te kunnen zetten. In eerste instantie stalden we ook caravans. Omdat er veel vraag naar was zijn we begonnen met het aanbieden van opslagunits. In 2017 hebben we op de loods een extra verdieping gezet. Eigenlijk hebben we continu uitgebreid tot 90 units nu.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Wat voor klanten hebben jullie?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018Dat zijn voor het merendeel particulieren, maar ook kleine bedrijven, vertegenwoordigers, sommigen slaan verpakkingsmateriaal op en er zijn eigenaren van vakantieparken in de buurt die hier hun archief opslaan.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Waarom wilden jullie uitbreiden?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018Uiteindelijk zaten we weer helemaal vol. We zijn toen een paar jaar geleden in Deventer komen kijken of het exploiteren van buitenunits ook iets voor ons was.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Waarom buitenunits?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018Wanneer klanten bij hun unit willen moeten ze een dag van te voren een afspraak maken bij mij. We willen eigenlijk een doelgroep bedienen die kan komen wanneer men wil en zonder afspraak.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Waarom kozen jullie voor Z-Boxen?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018Wij hebben wel units maar die zijn niet ge\u00efsoleerd en worden met kachels verwarmd. Buiten moet het wel anders en deze goed ge\u00efsoleerde container is iets dat we zochten. Een van onze klanten is Uitgekookt, die wil graag voedsel opslaan in een koele, ge\u00efsoleerde unit.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Hoe kwam het contact met USC tot stand en hoe verliep dat?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018In eerste instantie is jullie oud collega Mark een keer bij ons komen kijken. Martin en ik zijn daarna samen een keer naar Deventer gegaan. Dat liep allemaal soepel, we deden over en weer idee\u00ebn op, konden een beetje sparren met elkaar. We kregen een positieve indruk.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Wat was de reden om Z-Boxen te bestellen?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018Toen we alles op een rijtje hadden, inclusief een stuk grond dat we in de buurt konden kopen, besloten we om de opslagcontainers af te nemen. Eerst hebben we tekening laten maken om vast te kunnen stellen hoeveel units we op het terrein kwijt konden. We gingen uit van het advies van USC op dat gebied en dat was prettig.<\/span>
De containers hebben we besteld en in goed overleg is besloten om in oktober het opslagpark te bouwen. Op 3 oktober begon de eerste graafmachine en op 12 november konden de eerste mensen huren. Was het eerder klaar dan had ik ook al klanten die een unit wilden. We kunnen nu ook voldoen aan de vraag naar kleinere units.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Wat vinden de klanten van de containers?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018De klanten vinden het er keurig uitziet, strak, met mooie witte units, het lijkt net een klein dorp. We bieden ook motorunits aan. Die klanten moest ik eerder doorsturen, maar inmiddels heb ik er zelf al twee verhuurd. Deze week staat er een halve pagina over ons in de lokale krant PZC en ik heb daar al veel leuke reacties op gehad. Ik heb al units verhuurd en er komen van de week ook weer kijkers.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Zijn er nog andere aanbieders in de regio?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018Wij doen het al ruim 20 jaar. We waren een van de eersten hier op het eiland met een loods voor opslag. Daar hebben we wel een naam mee opgebouwd. Sommige families komen hier al voor de derde keer, dus dat is positief. Hier op eiland was ook vrijwel niets. Op de uithoeken van het eiland zijn nu wel een paar aanbieders actief, maar we zitten elkaar nog niet in de weg.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Zijn jullie tevreden met de gang van zaken?<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u2018Alles is prima verlopen. USC heeft al in zoveel plaatsen opslagparken neergezet dus ze weten waar ze het over hebben, dus wij hoeven zelf het wiel niet uit te vinden op dat gebied. We zijn altijd goed geholpen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gelukkig voor ons was er een levering van containers richting Zweden vertraagd, zodat de bouw bij ons eerder kon starten. Dat was prettig omdat wij, zodra we met het terrein aan de gang konden, zo snel mogelijk wilden beginnen met verhuren. Ik had namelijk klanten die erg omhoog zaten met hun inboedel. Er is keihard gewerkt door iedereen, waaronder het bouwteam van USC, om dat voor elkaar te krijgen.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Onze engineer Danny heeft de plattegrond gemaakt voor de locatie in Zierikzee en ook de aanpassingen op verzoek van Storage Zeeland verwerkt. Omdat Martin en Jascha zich af vroegen of bepaalde hoeken in de container opstelling met de auto bereikbaar konden zijn, heeft Danny bij Salland Storage in Deventer met pionnen deze hoeken gesimuleerd. Dit bleek succesvol. Tijdens de levering en assemblage van de containers door ons bouwteam in Zierikzee was Danny vanzelfsprekend ook aanwezig.<\/span><\/p>\n
