Lo hac\u00edan para abastecerse all\u00ed de stockfish, un bacalao seco. Por aquel entonces, el IJssel a\u00fan era navegable para buques oce\u00e1nicos. Adem\u00e1s, el Mar del Sur abierto ofrec\u00eda paso libre hacia el norte.<\/span><\/p>\n Durante las duras traves\u00edas, la tripulaci\u00f3n se alimentaba con una receta tenaz y nutritiva. De hecho, el pan ordinario no duraba mucho a bordo. El gremio de panaderos de Deventer ide\u00f3 una soluci\u00f3n. Se descubri\u00f3 utilizando un compuesto similar a una galleta. Este dur\u00f3 mucho m\u00e1s. Durante el viaje, se pod\u00eda comer con seguridad. La presencia de alimentos seguros para el consumo supuso una importante ventaja competitiva frente a otras ciudades. Como consecuencia, Deventer perdi\u00f3 su posici\u00f3n como ciudad mar\u00edtima. La ruta hacia el norte se fue desvaneciendo poco a poco. Otras ciudades de la costa saltaron al vac\u00edo. Se apoderaron del lucrativo comercio. <\/span><\/p>\n Sin embargo, la tarta Deventer se sigue fabricando en nuestro pol\u00edgono industrial. Incluso la Sociedad de Monta\u00f1eros de Deventer sigue existiendo. Nos gusta mantener vivo el esp\u00edritu emprendedor de Deventer.
