De AISI<\/a>, de Italiaanse vereniging van self storage exploitanten, hield weer haar jaarlijkse Self Storage Conference in Milaan, waar veel exploitanten uit heel Europa aanwezig waren. De AISI heeft gekozen voor een nieuwe, erg goed bereikbare locatie, die wat verder van het overigens zeer aantrekkelijke Milanese stadscentrum ligt. Wij vonden het bijzonder dat de show op zaterdag werd georganiseerd, een voor sponsoren minder gebruikelijke dag. De reden daarvoor is dat Italiaanse exploitanten hun self storage locaties vaak zelf runnen. Ze zouden deze moeten sluiten als de beurs doordeweeks zou plaatsvinden. We merkten aan alles dat Itali\u00eb zo langzamerhand klaar is voor opslagcontainers om hun huidige opslagmogelijkheden uit te breiden. Punt van aandacht is nog de Italiaanse bureaucratie, waardoor het soms lang kan duren voordat de benodigde vergunningen worden afgegeven. Wij als USC willen hier graag in faciliteren. We kunnen bijvoorbeeld een sustainability report opstellen, kennisoverdracht organiseren richting de overheid of klantprofielen opstellen. Deze hadden we in het Italiaans ondertiteld. De handouts van de presentatie hadden we ook vertaald en vooraf uitgedeeld. De zaal reageerde enthousiast. We zullen onze vertalingen nog beter proberen te maken.<\/span><\/p>\n Vorig jaar hadden we in de zomerperiode al een rondje Itali\u00eb gedaan langs diverse partijen waaronder Maurizio Allio van Casaforte<\/a> en Giovanni Tronchin van Self Storage Milano Est.<\/a> Giovanni had overigens ook nog mooie momenten of het podium. De zaal was zeer ge\u00efnteresseerd in zijn verhaal inzake zijn self storage locatie.<\/span><\/p>\n Op de show zagen we vooral dat de Italiaanse opslagmarkt aan het veranderen is. De AISI en haar leden zijn druk bezig om self storage op een professionele manier op de kaart te zetten. Wij hebben gemerkt dat hier grote stappen in zijn gezet en daar mag men trots op zijn. <\/span><\/p>\n Aan het einde van de dag ben ik nog ge\u00efnterviewd door AISI. Zodra deze video online is geplaatst, zullen wij deze delen op onze socials.<\/span><\/p>\n Kortom, ik reisde dus met een heel goed gevoel weer naar huis, en deed dat samen met Marc Barth, eigenaar van Store-IT<\/a> dat softwaresystemen voor de self storage markt ontwikkelt en veel Italiaanse klanten heeft.
