Verslag van de SSA UK 2023 beurs in Birmingham<\/h1>\n

Mijn naam is Seth Palsgraaf en iets meer dan een jaar werkzaam bij Universal Storage Containers. Sinds afgelopen zomer houd ik me veel bezig met beursvoorbereidingen. Nu had ik de gelegenheid mee te gaan naar de SSA UK in Birmingham. In dit artikel mijn ervaringen en de natuurlijk de\u00a0beurs\u00a0zelf.<\/span><\/p>\n

Heenreis<\/h3>\n

Op zondag 14 mei vertrokken we aan het eind van de middag naar Hoek van Holland om daar de veerboot naar Harwich te pakken. Al het beursmateriaal paste gelukkig in de auto van Maarten, zodat we comfortabel de grens over konden. De boot vertrok iets voor tienen en de volgende ochtend ging om half zes, Engelse tijd, alweer de wekker.<\/span><\/p>\n

Na het ontbijt en alle formaliteiten konden we op weg naar Birmingham, wat nog een kleine drie uur rijden was. We arriveerden rond half elf bij ons hotel in Birmingham, waar we meteen aan de slag konden met de demo-container en het opbouwen van de booth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Opzetten<\/h3>\n

Het opbouwen liep gesmeerd. De Z-Box die als demo-container gebruikt werd kon goed schoongemaakt worden en de beamer konden we in de container aansluiten.
\nVoor de booth binnenin hadden we dit jaar niks gehuurd, maar alles zelf meegebracht. We werken eraan om al het beursmateriaal mobiel te krijgen, zodat we dit allemaal zelf mee kunnen nemen. <\/span><\/p>\n

Met behulp van een 3D-model kunnen we, aan de hand van de grootte van de stand, kijken wat er allemaal past zodat we precies weten wat we mee moeten nemen. In Birmingham beschikten we over verscheidene banners, een LED achterwand en een mobiele beursbalie waarmee we de stand mooi konden aankleden.<\/span><\/p>\n

De beurs<\/h3>\n

De beurs vormde een erg leerzame ervaring. Iedere deelnemer biedt zichzelf op een andere manier aan, wat weer zorgt voor veel inspiratie voor volgende beurzen. De SSA UK werd erg druk bezocht, er waren meer dan 600 aanmeldingen voor twee dagen. Alles verliep erg goed, er was veel aanloop en vooral ook veel ge\u00efnteresseerden.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Engeland is het begrip buitenopslag niets nieuws, dus dat hoefden we niemand uit te leggen. Het gros van de opslagparken in Engeland is gevuld met zeecontainers, dus aan ons de taak om te bewijzen dat de Z-Box beter is op bepaalde punten..<\/span><\/p>\n

Demo-container<\/h3>\n

Met behulp van de demo-container konden we eenvoudig de ventilatie, isolatie en de verschillende compartimenten laten zien. Vooral de verschillende modellen van de Z-Box zijn behoorlijk uniek voor de Engelse opslagbranche. Bij zeecontainers is het immers lastig en prijzig om er bijvoorbeeld vier verschillende compartimenten in aan te brengen..<\/span><\/p>\n

Daarbij is de deur van een Z-Box een stuk makkelijker te hanteren dan die van een zeecontainer, dit kon nu makkelijk uitgetest worden. Al met al was het een succesvolle beurs waar we Universal Storage Containers zeker op de kaart hebben gezet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Afbreken en terug<\/h3>\n

Aan het einde van de tweede dag begonnen we al vroeg met opruimen. Het verliep allemaal erg vlot en gelukkig paste alles ook weer in de auto. We waren ruimschoots op tijd bij de veerboot en meerden de volgende ochtend weer vroeg aan in de haven van Hoek van Holland.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nu is het zaak om alles te evalueren en onze ervaringen om te zetten in verbeteringen voor onze stand op de volgende beurzen. <\/span><\/p>\n
