Trade Associations
STREPPEL is a member of several national and international trade associations in the removals and self storage industry. We sponsor events, take part in trade fairs and are actively involved in organised gatherings. Check out News & Events to see which trade fairs you can find us at this year. Below you will find an overview of the various partners of STREPPEL.
FEDESSA
FEDESSA, the European trade association for self storage companies, was founded in 2004. The federation consists of 14 national self storage trade associations. Together, these represent more than 1,400 self storage facilities. That is 70% of the total, including all the larger companies.
NSSA
NSSA represents the interests of self storage companies in the Dutch self storage market. Certification and promoting the industry’s own identity are key activities. The organisation has 27 members, a number that is growing due to the growth of the self storage industry. NSSA works closely with FEDESSA.
CISS
CISS is an organisation that represents the leading self storage brands in France. It officially represents French entrepreneurs within FEDESSA. The organisation aims to further develop the self storage market in France. CISS promotes compliance with the European standard and informs and advises its affiliated members on this.
Inside Self Storage (ISS)
For more than 28 years, Inside Self Storage (ISS) has been providing solutions and insights into the self storage industry. ISS produces the ISS magazine and organises the annual ISS World Expo (the largest trade fair in the self storage industry). There is also a large, interactive online community. The ISS Store offers on-demand education and knowledge for professionals in the industry.
Verband Deutscher Selfstorage Unternehmen e.V
VDS, the German trade association, was founded in 2003. The aim of the VDS is to create its own standard, a DIN standard for the storage industry. This allows a consistent level of quality to be offered to the customers of its affiliated members. Offering safe, clean, dry and comfortable storage conditions is the top priority.
Self Storage Association United Kingdom
The Self Storage Association (SSA UK), founded in 1995, is the leading trade organisation for self storage companies and suppliers in the UK. The association promotes and supports the growth of the sector, which comprises more than 2,200 facilities and 51 million square feet of rentable space. The organisation has more than 500 members and strives for a sustainable, self-regulating industry.
Sweden Self Storage Association (SSSA)
The Sweden Self Storage Association, founded in 2004, is the leading trade organisation representing self-storage operators in Sweden. Today, the SSSA has more than 60 members representing almost 230 members in Sweden. The aim of the SSSA is to protect and promote the interests of its members.
NationalBOX
National Box is a network of independent self-storage providers in France. In total, National Box has more than 100 self-storage companies as members. The aim of National BOX is to be a point of contact for both business members and private customers, and to increase the turnover and visibility of business members via their website.
The Movers & Storers
The Movers & Storers Show is an annual event in the United Kingdom dedicated to the removals and storage industry. It brings together professionals from the removals, storage and logistics sectors. It serves as a platform for companies to discover new products, innovations and trends in the industry while networking within the removals and storage community.
