Container Operated Storage heeft een grote toekomst
You may know our company Universal Storage Containers from the white insulated outdoor containers that can be easily divided into up to eight compartments. Since 2018, Dutch brothers Jan-Hein and Maarten Streppel, already active in the storage industry for 15 years, have joined forces with USC. In this column, they share what happened this past quarter.
Successful FEDESSA trade show
As USC we can look back with satisfaction on the FEDESSA fair in Vilamoura, Portugal. The organization was once again perfect. We found it very special that in Portugal again operators and suppliers from all over the world were present. During the opening party we arranged in the Purobeach Club of the Tivoli Marina hotel, we were able to greet many of them, as well as employees of FEDESSA and highly valued customers. Our USC booth attracted many interested people. Visitors interested in innovation were at their beck and call. In fact, we had made room for our innovative stacking structure, which our engineers are developing.
Innovatieprijs voor DSOC
Aan het einde van de tweede beursdag mochten we de USC-innovatieprijs uitreiken aan DSOC, dat werkt aan het ontwikkelen van software voor de beveiliging van locaties. Container operated storage
In connection with the recent death of the beloved Queen, Westminster Abbey was frequently featured on television. So we were reminded of the FEDESSA Self Storage Conference in London, now three years ago. In fact, that’s when we placed a demo container for the first time, practically in front of Westminster Abbey. A rightfully iconic location that has earned a special place in our hearts.
We are pleased that our demo container received such a following at the penultimate FEDESSA trade show in Birmingham. The fact that a demo container is now ‘just’ put there during such a big trade show shows that container operated storage has matured very quickly. The UK’s leading role in this is beginning to be emulated in other countries. As a result, this most flexible form of storage space is now a staple of the overall self-storage palette.
Kudos to Fedessa for recognizing and picking up on that trend. We at USC, for our part, will continue our efforts to further propagate the container operated storage formula and bring and keep it at the highest possible level of quality.
